This web-page provides access to online web-based reference resources for Lewis Middle School students and households when they are away from school.

Bigchalk Education Network is an extensive online resource that includes the 2002 World Book Encyclopedia, four other encylclopedia, a dictionary, a thesaurus, 8 almanacs, 7 atlases, and 24 other commonly used reference sources.  Also included are magazines, newspapers, books, television/radio transcripts, maps, pictures and audio/video clips.

NewsBank consists of several databases useful in the education setting.  They include: NewsBank NewsFile Collection, NewsBank Middle School Edition, NewsBank ScienceSource Collection, and NewsBank KidsPage (for elementary students).  Also included are maps, current events and teacher resources.

SIRS Knowledge Source™ is an online resource that provides integrated access to thousands of full-text articles, documents and graphics from SIRS highly-acclaimed reference databases.

EBSCO Host (reference database)
EBSCO offers a collection of specially designed comprehensive databases that are tailored to support a variety of subject areas. The content ranges from EBSCO's unparalleled collection of full text magazines, newspapers, and reference books to detailed pamphlets.

NoveList
(a reader's guide to fiction)
NoveList provides a Fiction Readers Guide to 74,000 titles. Search by author, subject or title and follow the links to a good book.
