Mr. Dennis Samac grew up in the small town of Pine Hill,
Alabama. He graduated from school there and attended G.C. Wallace
Junior College in Selma, Alabama, where he earned his A.S. degree and
lettered two years in baseball. He then fulfilled a life-long dream
by attending Auburn University. He graduated with a B.S. degree in
health and physical education. Mr. Samac began teaching at
Lewis Middle School in 1986. During his tenure at Lewis, he has
taught American history, and coached the football, baseball, basketball
and golf teams. The football, baseball, and basketball teams earned
district championships.
In his spare time, Mr. Samac earned his master's degree in
educational leadership from the University of West Florida. He was
named "Newspaper in Education" Teacher of the Year in 2001.
Mr. Samac was selected assistant principal of Lewis Middle
School during the summer of 2003. He is married to Ann (also a
teacher) and has two sons, Josh and Daniel. |
