Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader is part of our total program of reading promotion, education, and enhancement at Lewis Middle School.

Under the Accelerated Reader program, a student selects a book from the media center, reads it, and answers ten questions about the content of the book.  Accelerated Reader encourages students to practice their reading skills, and concentrate on what they are reading.

The key to the Accelerated Reader program is providing students with books and quizzes in a wide variety of topics, interests, and reading levels.  At Lewis Middle School, we have over 1,500 Accelerated Reader books from which the students can select.
